FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How often should I change the water in my cold plunge?

For hygiene and freshness, we recommend changing the water once every 7–10 days, depending on usage. Rinsing the tub and wiping it down with mild soap between refills helps maintain clean conditions.

Do I need to use chemicals to keep the water clean?

Not necessarily. Many users prefer a simple drain and refill routine. However, if you want to extend the water life, you can use safe treatments such as bromine in tiny amounts. Always avoid harsh chemicals like chlorine or pool shock.

Can I add ice, Epsom salts, or essential oils?

Yes, adding ice is optional if you want extra cold immersion. Epsom salts are generally safe and may provide additional magnesium benefits. Avoid oils or bath bombs, as they can leave residue and damage the liner.

What’s the recommended session length for beginners?

If you’re new to cold water immersion, start small - around 1–2 minutes at a safe temperature (10–15°C / 50–59°F). Gradually increase over time, but never exceed your comfort level.

What safety tips should I follow?
  • Never stay in longer than your tolerance allows.
  • Avoid plunging alone - always let someone know.
  • Warm up slowly after your session, don’t jump straight into hot water.
  • Listen to your body - shivering is normal, but numbness or dizziness are signs to get out immediately.
